Legal · Terms

Terms governing the AIGR website and materials.

These Terms of Use apply to access to the public AIGR website, public demonstrations, research, methodology summaries and other materials made available through the site. Separate written terms govern paid assessments, platform access, rating engagements and other contracted services.

01 · Acceptance

By using this website, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website. If you use the site on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to act for that organization.

02 · What AIGR provides

AIGR is an artificial intelligence governance ratings and assurance framework. Public site content may describe assessment workflows, governance controls, methodology concepts, sector frameworks, rating designations and illustrative product interfaces. Availability of a public page does not mean a particular service, rating or capability is generally available in every jurisdiction.

03 · Nature of AIGR ratings

An AIGR rating is a governance opinion within a defined scope, methodology version and date. Unless expressly stated in an issued report, an AIGR rating is not a certification, accreditation, audit opinion, legal opinion, regulatory approval, compliance attestation, credit rating, investment recommendation, safety guarantee or prediction of business performance.

AIGR-100 through AIGR-40 are proprietary categorical governance designations. They are not percentages or probabilities. See the Ratings & Methodology Disclaimer for additional limitations.

04 · Illustrative demos and sample ratings

Interfaces, organizations, systems, scores, evidence states, dates and rating outcomes identified as illustrative are demonstrations only. They are not issued ratings, do not describe a real organization unless expressly stated, and must not be represented as an AIGR opinion.

05 · Real-estate demonstration content

Real-estate examples such as a tenant-screening assistant or valuation system illustrate governance assessment of an AI system. AIGR does not use the public demo to screen individual tenants, determine eligibility, value a specific property, make lending decisions or recommend action concerning any identifiable person or property.

06 · Permitted use

You may view, download or quote reasonable portions of public AIGR materials for internal business, research, journalism or evaluation purposes, provided that attribution is accurate and the material is not altered in a way that misrepresents an AIGR position or rating.

07 · Prohibited use

  • Do not claim an AIGR rating, designation, partnership, certification or endorsement that has not been formally issued or authorized.
  • Do not remove scope, date, conditions, limitations or “illustrative” notices from AIGR material.
  • Do not use the site to interfere with security, access controls, availability or other users.
  • Do not upload malicious code, scrape restricted areas, attempt unauthorized access or test security outside the Responsible Disclosure policy.
  • Do not use AIGR materials in a misleading, defamatory, unlawful or deceptive manner.

08 · Intellectual property and trademarks

AIGR, Artificial Intelligence Governance Ratings, AIGR rating designations, methodology materials, visual identity, site content and related proprietary materials may be protected by trademark, copyright, database, trade-secret or other rights. No licence is granted except the limited right to use the public website in accordance with these Terms. Third-party marks remain the property of their respective owners.

09 · References to standards and regulations

References to external laws, standards or governance frameworks are used only where necessary to organize obligations or evidence. They do not imply affiliation, sponsorship, endorsement, accreditation or certification.

10 · Confidentiality

Public website submissions are not confidential merely because they are sent to AIGR. Do not submit confidential evidence or trade secrets through the public contact form. Confidentiality obligations arise only where established in a written agreement or other legally binding arrangement.

11 · Third-party links and services

The website may link to third-party sites or rely on third-party infrastructure. AIGR does not control third-party content, availability, privacy practices or security and is not responsible for them except to the extent required by law or contract.

12 · Disclaimers

Public website content is provided for general informational and evaluation purposes. It may be changed, corrected or withdrawn. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the site is provided without warranties of uninterrupted availability, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

13 · Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the AIGR site operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages arising from use of public website content. Contracted services may be subject to different liability terms in the applicable agreement.

14 · Changes and suspension

AIGR may modify, suspend or discontinue public site content, demonstrations or access where reasonably necessary for security, maintenance, legal compliance, methodology governance or service development.

15 · Governing terms

Where you have a written agreement for AIGR services, that agreement controls in the event of a conflict. Mandatory rights under applicable law are not excluded. Any governing-law or forum provisions for contracted services are those stated in the applicable agreement.

16 · Contact

Questions about these Terms may be submitted through the AIGR contact page or to [email protected].
