Ratings & Methodology Disclaimer

This notice defines the intended meaning and limitations of AIGR Artificial Intelligence Governance Ratings, governance scores, illustrative demonstrations and related methodology materials.

01 · Governance opinion, not certification

An AIGR rating is a governance opinion concerning the maturity, evidence confidence and control state of a defined AI system, organization or assessment scope as of a specified date. It is not a certification, accreditation, audit opinion, legal opinion, regulatory approval or attestation of compliance.

02 · Not a credit or investment rating

AIGR ratings are not credit ratings and do not express creditworthiness, default risk, investment quality, financial return or the probability of loss. They are not investment, lending, insurance, procurement, employment, housing or legal advice.

03 · Categorical scale

AIGR-100 through AIGR-40 are proprietary categorical designations. They are not percentages, probabilities or direct translations of a 0–100 analytical score. A separate Governance Score may support diagnostics and reviewer analysis, but the final AIGR designation also reflects scope, evidence confidence, critical gates and governed reviewer judgment.

04 · Scope matters

A rating applies only to the entity, system, use case, lifecycle stage, jurisdiction, evidence period and methodology version identified in the relevant assessment or rating record. It does not automatically transfer to another model, deployment, subsidiary, property portfolio, business process, time period or jurisdiction.

05 · Critical gates

AIGR methodology may use critical-gate logic so that material failures in areas such as safety, privacy, security, accountability, rights or evidence integrity are not offset by strong performance elsewhere. A conditional or blocked state may therefore remain even where the analytical score is otherwise strong.

06 · Illustrative content

Any page, image, interface, organization, system, rating, score, evidence record or date labelled illustrative is a demonstration only. It is not an issued rating and must not be used or represented as evidence that a real organization, product or system has been assessed or rated by AIGR.

07 · Real-estate examples

Examples involving tenant screening, property valuation, leasing or property operations demonstrate governance evaluation of the AI system itself. AIGR does not, through these public examples, assess or rate individual tenants, applicants, borrowers, owners or properties, and the examples must not be used to make housing, credit or eligibility decisions.

08 · External obligations

Mapping to external obligations or governance requirements is used for evidence organization only. It does not mean that AIGR has been endorsed, accredited or certified by another organization, or that use of AIGR by itself establishes compliance.

09 · Changes, monitoring and withdrawal

AIGR ratings are intended to be read as point-in-time opinions subject to monitoring, evidence expiry, incidents, material change, methodology updates and reviewer action. An issued rating may be affirmed, upgraded, downgraded, made conditional, suspended, withdrawn or replaced with Not Rated where supported by the applicable methodology and engagement terms.

10 · Use and representation

A rating should be reproduced with its complete designation, scope, date and any material condition or limitation. Selective quotation, removal of a condition, use after withdrawal, or representation of an illustrative rating as issued is prohibited unless expressly authorized.

11 · No guarantee

AIGR does not guarantee that a rated system will be safe, lawful, unbiased, secure, accurate, profitable or free from incident. Governance quality reduces uncertainty; it does not eliminate operational or legal risk.
